'BRANDING' IN FASHION

Hello trendwheelers, here is an article on branding, fashion wise though. The article however answers to questions such as:
What does a brand mean?
How does it affect you in the (fashion) world?
How do you create your brand?

You brand as it pertains to fashion is your 'style' (of dressing). Your brand is your trademark. You do have to have that in mind first-off. Thus people identify you with it easily.
'Dress the way you want to be addressed' is a cliche quote to most people, but forget that at the the moment and try to dig deep into it's meaning for some minutes. Whether you like it or not, when people see you for the first time, you create an immediate impression and the more they see you, the more you get registered into their minds with that same impression you've created from the onset they saw you. It's all normal.
It's not really what you say that matters here now 'cos obviously they see you as a person before you say a word. Your personality could be concluded upon by your appearance !
This is where fashion comes in, (in line with what you do or your profession). Read more...

TRENDWHEEL: FATHER'S DAY SPECIAL

With Father's Day today, surely many dads will be spending time with their children. Perhaps since he is the kind of the father who sacrifices a lot of time doing things for other's this could be a time to give him a gift that allows him to do things for himself.
First, you have to consider the type of dad you have. Is he the outdoor kind of guy who loves hanging out with friends?  Is he the die hard sports fan who loves every type of activity available?  Is he the business man who loves dressing a little more or is he the regular guy that just love spending time watching television and sitting in the back yard?

Whatever your dad's person style, there are various fashions to suit his needs. Knowing his favorite designers and noticing the type of clothes that he wears in vital to getting the perfect gift.  Remember, when shopping don't seek styles that you like, but focus on what he really like and will actually wear.  It is pretty safe to say that dad will appreciate whatever you buy him because of the gesture, but when he receives something that he always wanted, that makes it all better.
Many of the major stores might be having last minute Father's Days sales so sometimes waiting to close to the day of a holiday can work for the shopper.
Keep in mind, fashions for Father's Day are plentiful, so going to the store with some ideas in mind can make the shopping experience even better.
You just have to be creative, that's all. There are lot's of fashion items to buy :
Clothes: shirts, pants, jeans, hats, tees, ties.
Accessories: wrist-watches, perfumes, wallets, shoes, belts.....
and what have you............just be creative u know. *smiles*

DAVE PRINCE: JORMUNGAND WATCH

Here’s a watch that would go well in this time period as well. The brainchild of Dave Prince, a designer flexing his creativity here for Integrated Design Solutions, this futuro timepiece looks like it might go on like a slap bracelet. The real draw, of course, is the use of sexy light features that give readouts on the hour and minute in place of clunky old-fashioned hands.
“The concept behind Jormungand is from Norse mythology,” Prince says. “Jormungand is a serpent that is large enough to encircle the earth and hold onto his own tail … when Jormungand lets go of his own tail the earth will end.” While the watch would make it impossible to tell someone the exact time it is when the serpent decides our fate, you will be able to render a close and extremely stylish estimate before the world comes to a screeching halt.

TREND WATCH: THE OLD RELIGION BOSS !

Funny title huh! Anywayz, OLD RELIGION is a clothing line founded & owned by Okoro Onyebuchi. The astonishing part of the whole the old religion boss is that he is just in his sophomore year in the university and has so much insight as regards fashion and style.
His view of fashion is 'introspective'; 'A way of life, communication and extension of one's self. Most of all, fashion is about being comfortable in your own style, who you are and coin it into a personal style'.
He is basically into corporate clothing, all kinds, and deals with the men at least for now. His designs are classics that have an old world appeal infused with the blend obtainable in today's fashion world with distinctive fabric range and flawless tailoring. He recently showcased some of his deigns in the annual REDEFINTION fashion show held in covenant university and was the 2nd runner up. He his currently working with Olumai Atafo of Mai
Some of his fabrics and labels are imported but mostly of them purchased in Nigeria.

His designs are incredibly decent and the choice of fabrics are just top-notch. He however intends to continue the business after school amongst other businesses he will be controlling.
He does knows waht he's doing and apparently knows where he is going. Shout out to you mann! Check out some of his deigns...
